Job Description:  ECOMMERCE MANAGER Facility Maintenance company in Dania Beach, FL with over 10 years in the industry providing remodeling and facilities maintenance services to the retail and restaurant markets is currently seeking a highly-motivated and qualified Facilities Maintenance Ecommerce Manager. The candidate will possess the ability to multi-task and interact professionally with others. OVERVIEW: The Ecommerce Manager develops and carries out the strategic online marketing plans for company on the Web. As such, they need to stay current with the online marketing environment and adapt their strategy to best serve company and to keep pace with the competition in their field. The Ecommerce Manager is often heavily involved with company websites, particularly advertising and content elements. Given the 24/7 nature of online shopping, Ecommerce Managers may work irregular hours and be on call to handle any issues that arise. The Ecommerce Manager often collaborate with content developers, fellow businesses and customers. The Ecommerce Manager is in charge of company’s ecommerce division and reports to upper management. Summary of Role: • Generate and update website content (products, content, and promotions). • Work with agencies to build traffic & sales via the website (PPC agency, email marketing provider, e-commerce provider, etc.) • Plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements. • Maintain and update the online marketing plan for the website. • Monitor key performance indicators on the website and develop plans to improve them. • Maintain and manage inventory cin7 knowledge a plus. Key Experience • Understanding of the disciplines required to drive traffic to retail websites (PPC, email marketing, link generation, online PR, SEO, offline marketing and PR, affiliate programmes, etc.) • Understanding of order management/customer fulfilment in an e-commerce context • Experience with Microsoft office products • Computer literate and understanding of basic web technologies (FTP, browsers, basic HTML, data files) • Familiar with data management • Previous experience of website or e-commerce CMS • Basic understanding of Google products such as Webmaster Tools & Analytics would be desirable Detailed responsibilities would include: Website • Update product information and content on the website • Update content managed areas (copy & artwork) • Manage website configuration & parameters (eg payment options, stock management) • Investigate and report any operational/technical issues arising • Scope and document ongoing website functional projects /improvements • Work with web developer to test and deploy new website functions • Liaise with e-commerce agency regarding the day to day management of the website • Liaise with internal resources regarding the day to day management of the website • Evaluate approaches & strategies to improve website sales conversions & customer engagement Marketing • Understand and develop sources of traffic (& the factors that influence it): email, SEO, PPC, affiliates, social media, catalogues etc. • Liaise with agencies or in-house teams to implement and support campaigns • Investigate, evaluate and assess new ways of generating additional traffic/orders • Produce reports to analyse the performance of all online marketing campaigns and promotions (via reports, analytics, surveys etc.) Measurement • To meet and exceed all agreed performance objectives (sales, conversions, engagement) • Continuous improvement of customer satisfaction • Meet internal service levels for website activity and management • Maintaining an excellent level of service to the business QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D., Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, Internet Marketing or a closely related major. Operating Systems: Windows and or Mac Software: MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word), cin7, Shopify, Google Ad Words, Proficient in Ecommerce shopping carts, Front Page, Project, Dreamweaver, Internet Explorer, and Netscape Navigator. Basic Understanding: SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, XML, and JavaScript Key Competencies: • Analytical Tools: Google Analytics and other analytical software will be essential for tracking sales trends and making projections of future growth. • Spreadsheets: Tracking data is an essential part of the job. Using tools like Excel and other spreadsheet software makes organizing months of data effective and easy. • Presentation Software: An Ecommerce Manager will be expected to present new initiatives to management and potential clients. An effective, easy to use software such as PowerPoint is essential to creating visually appealing, easy-to-follow presentations. • Smartphone: An Ecommerce Manager must be on call to handle sudden updates, and a significant part of their job is interaction with clients. As such, an up-to-date smartphone with e-mail capability is essential. • Online Sales Portals: Amazon Vendor/Seller Central and similar sites are key to managing the sales portion of the job, and allow the Ecommerce Manager to keep track of sales data in one convenient location. • People skills – most roles are client-facing and therefore you will need to be confident with clients, salespeople and other industry professionals. • Written and verbal communication skills – not only will you need to be articulate in your dealings with clients and communicate ideas and results efficiently, you will also need great copywriting skills to attract customers and persuade them to buy. • A focus on customer experience – the objective for any e-commerce site is to not only to push visitors through the sales funnel, but for them to return for more; user experience is paramount. • Organizational skills / time management – you will need to use your time effectively on behalf of your clients and deliver excellent ROI. • Merchandising skills – traditional retail skills are also valid in the e-commerce sector, • Technical knowledge – a good understanding of the major e-commerce platforms, security, testing and quality assurance will put you at an advantage. • Ability to prioritize – there are many e-commerce concepts so it is important that you can prioritize what is best for your client and not be distracted by shiny new technologies.
